CERMi creates and promotes academic research in microfinance, through the support of doctoral research programmes and international publications, and through the organisation of workshops, seminars and conferences.

CERMi is also committed to support the development of the European Master in Microfinance / European Microfinance Programme developed by the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the UMONS and the University of Paris-Dauphine, in partnership with the NGOs ADA, BRS, CERISE, and SOS FAIM

CERMi Research Days 2026

The CERMi Research Days will bring together researchers, academics and practitioners to share recent research and discuss current issues in microfinance and financial inclusion.

September – November 2026 : Research Visit – Armande Nabami

Armande Nabami, postdoctoral researcher at the University of Agder, is joining CERMi for a three-month research stay from September to November 2026. During her visit, she will conduct research on microfinance in crisis period and financial inclusion and contribute to CERMi’s research activities.
